Atomic Jolt is committed to protecting the security of your data. This page describes the measures we take to safeguard the information entrusted to us through our Services.
1. Data Storage and Infrastructure
The production environment for Atomic Jolt Services runs and stores data on computers located in Amazon AWS data centers in the following regions:
- Europe – Dublin, Ireland
- Australia, New Zealand and Asia – Sydney, Australia
- United States – Virginia, United States
Customers use the versions of Atomic Jolt services running in data centers closest to them. Beta versions of Atomic Jolt services run and store data in Amazon AWS data centers in the U.S.
Atomic Jolt does not copy or move data provided to Services between countries. System administrators located in the U.S. log in to servers in all regions to perform maintenance and troubleshooting, but do not copy data to their local machines.
2. Security Measures
Atomic Jolt takes reasonable steps to help protect your personal information in an effort to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Our security measures include:
- Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols
- Encryption of data at rest within our storage systems
- Regular security assessments and vulnerability scanning
- Access controls and authentication requirements for all system access
- Monitoring and logging of system access and activities
- Regular backups to protect against data loss
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
3. Information Collected via Technology
Our servers collect information including browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, domain name, unique device identifiers, and date/time stamps. We use cookies and web beacons to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit and the content you accessed.
Cookies are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing a website. We use both session cookies (which expire once you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until you delete them).
Web Beacons are digital images used to log information on our Site and in our emails. We use web beacons to manage cookies, count visits, and measure the effectiveness of our communications.
4. Analytics
We use analytics services, including Google Analytics, to help analyze how users interact with our Site, Apps, and Services. These services use cookies and scripts to collect information such as usage patterns, device identifiers, and referral sources. We use this information solely to improve our products and services. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We may share information with third-party service providers solely for the purpose of delivering our Services. For example, we share data with providers who host our websites or provide email services on our behalf. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.
6. Your Security Choices
You have the following options to manage your security preferences:
- Adjust your browser settings to remove or reject cookies, though this may affect service functionality
- Disable HTML display in emails to prevent web beacon tracking
- Opt out of Google Analytics tracking
- Update your personal information through your account profile or by contacting us
7. Children's Data Protection
Atomic Jolt follows the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requirements, obtaining verifiable parental consent (through Schools) before collecting personal information from children. Schools obtain parental consent before providing student accounts, and parents retain the right to review, update, or delete their child's information through their school.
8. FERPA Compliance
When providing services to educational institutions, Atomic Jolt operates as a data processor under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We process student data strictly on behalf of and under the direction of the educational institution. We do not collect, use, or disclose student data for any purpose beyond what is necessary to provide our services.
To ensure compliance with FERPA, Atomic Jolt:

- Implements strict security controls to protect student data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
- Retains student data only as long as required to fulfill our contractual obligations. Upon termination of services, we delete or return student data within 30 days, unless otherwise specified by the institution.
